Eleven Essay

The story “Eleven” was written by Sandra Cisneros. This is about a girl named Rachel that doesn’t feel eleven yet because she acts like all these other ages. And these are the examples of why I think Rachel is credible.

Rachel is credible she is shy in front of other people.
Example: ”That’s not, I don’t, you’re not… not mine.” I once was like that every time I will get in trouble but I will look like if I hadn’t known how to talk. This is also credible because how will want to get in trouble and talk back to the teacher. That might just get you in more trouble.

Rachel is also credible because she is a crybaby.
Example: This is when I wish I wasn’t eleven, because all the years inside of me-ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, and one- are all pushing at the back of my eyes when I put one arm through one sleeve of the sweater that that smells like cotton cheese, and then the other arm through the other and stand there with my arms apart as if the sweater hurts me and it does, all itchy and full of germs that aren't even mine. That shows credibility because kids always wine for the littlest things.

Rachel is also credible because she say stupid a lot.
Example: That stupid Phyllis Lopez, who is even dumber than Felice Garcia, says she remembers the red sweater is hers. That is credible because kids kids are always saying stupid for showing how someone asks.
